Columbia University’s largest anti-Israel student organization posted “death to America” on its social media pages. The post was made after President Trump ordered military strikes on Iran.
The Columbia University Apartheid Divest wrote in the message in Farsi. It was later deleted by X – but the group doubled down.
“X forced us to delete our “marg bar amrika” tweet in order to gain back access to our account but the sentiment still stands,” the group wrote.
Columbia issued a statement saying they were troubled and suggested the group is not connected in any way to the university.
“There is no evidence that anyone currently in control of their account is a current Columbia student, staff, or faculty member. They are illegally using the Columbia name,” the New York City school said.
This is the same school that invited former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak in 2007. And over the weekend, Columbia Professor Jeff Sachs accused Congress of being owned and operated by the Zionist lobby. It’s not much of a surprise that War Secretary Pete Hegseth cancelled all ties with Columbia – citing the Ivy League school as a “woke breeding ground of toxic indoctrination.”
Every member of the group who is here on a visa should be expelled and removed from the country. And Education Sec. Linda McMahon should see to it that Columbia is stripped of every federal dollar it receives until that happens.
