Jan Markell: Holocaust Denial And Antisemitism Are At A New Level… Does The Church Care?

I know the following paragraphs do not matter to a lot of people—including Christians. Holocaust Memorial Day, or Yom Hashoah, is April 13-14.

The Holocaust happened a long time ago. It won’t ever happen again. Oh, really? Jan, quit dwelling on the past.

The problem is, it is happening as we speak. No, not the gas chambers, but the sentiment. Never again truly is now. Holocaust denial is at a new level. The Tucker Carlsons and Candice Owens have done staggering damage.

It is a painful experience in Israel on this day. At 10:00 a.m., the country comes to a standstill. Children get off their toys. Cars come to a screeching halt. Drivers get out and stand motionless. Sirens wail throughout Israel. There is a collective sigh throughout the land. And the unspoken thought is, does anybody care?

Recently, more and more Israelis are realizing some Christians care. They care very much. They are even asking, “What is this love?”

But your average church is into your best life now. Or perhaps social justice is at the center of the congregation. No one wants to offend. We are focusing on church growth. This message is a downer. We have to be known for what we agree on.

As I predicted right after October 7, 2023, Israel would become the dividing line in the church. And so it did.

But doesn’t the Bible say the church would not end well? There would be a “falling away” theologically; (2 Thessalonians 2:3); the doctrine of demons would abound (I Timothy 4:1); people would not give heed to sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3); there would be destructive heresies (2 Peter 2:1); there would be wolves among the flock (Acts 20:29).

No, the church is not going to conquer the world so that Jesus Christ can return. If you believe Dominion Theology, you are not giving heed to sound doctrine. It ends characterized by apostasy. A remnant church remains true.

Pastor Brandon Holthaus and I discuss this in a recent video I hope you will tune into. We’re talking about one of the most prominent end-time signs. You cannot understand the times or the lateness of the hour without properly understanding this.

And, it might be time for you to find a new church.
