Thinking Biblically: Exploring the Kingdom in Matthew’s Gospel

We continue exploring the Kingdom as Dr. Mike Stallard walks through Matthew’s Gospel to reveal its central theme. From Jesus’ genealogy that identifies Him as the Son of David through the Sermon on the Mount and the Kingdom parables to the Olivet Discourse, Matthew points to a literal, earthly Messianic reign still to come. Dr. Stallard explains how the phrases “kingdom of heaven” and “kingdom of God” describe the same promised rule and how Jesus calls His followers to live with the righteousness that reflects that coming Kingdom.
