Community mourns Omaha deacon as adopted son is charged with his murder


The Rev. John Zak, a beloved deacon from Omaha, Nebraska, who adopted several of the 13 children he raised with his wife, Mary, is now being mourned by the St. Peter Catholic Church community, where he served for decades, after one of his adopted sons was charged with his murder. He was 69.
