Day by day, Iran’s regime is being decimated. A collection of butchers, jihadists, and modern-day Nazis, who have spent 47 years murdering and maiming, are now facing judgment courtesy of the US and Israeli militaries.

The latest regime tyrant to fall is Iran’s now former intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib, one of the regime’s most important officials. He was killed on Wednesday in Tehran in an Israeli air strike. Khatib helped lead the regime’s brutal repression of the Iranian people, and had a major hand in the January slaughter of at least 32,000 Iranians. He was also an Islamic cleric who was close to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei—and, like Khamenei, he is now no more.

The takeout of Khatib follows Tuesday’s double elimination of two other high-ranking regime kingpins. Israeli airstrikes eliminated Ali Larijani, who Israel says was the de facto leader of Iran in the wake of Khamenei’s death. Also killed was the head of Iran’s Basij paramilitary force, Gholamreza Soleimani, along with several other top Basij officials.

This is very significant. The Basij are what I call the “skull crackers.” This is the goon squad that the regime unleashes on the streets to attack and intimidate the Iranian people. Think of the Nazi Brownshirts, only more numerous and more powerful. Likewise, their masters in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps can be compared to Hitler’s SS, but again, only more powerful and influential. The more the Basij and IRGC are weakened, the better chance the Iranian people will take to the streets and finally seize their freedom.

The United States and Israel are creating the conditions on the ground for a new Iran, God willing.

The regime’s leadership is being taken out one by one. In just 19 days since Operation Epic Fury began, Iran’s Air Force, Navy, and missile defenses have all been destroyed. Its ballistic missile and drone launches have also plummeted.

The US and Israel, working side by side, are completely obliterating Iran’s entire military and terror infrastructure in stunning fashion. President Trump posted on Wednesday that “the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism” is being put “out of business.”

Finally, after nearly half a century of mayhem, we have a commander in chief who is holding the Ayatollahs accountable.

“Iran is just a military operation to me. Iran is something that was essentially, largely over in two or three days,” the President stated. “The Navy was wiped out almost immediately. The Air Force came next. The anti-aircraft came next. We’re flying over Iran, and we could take out their electric capacity in one hour. There’s nothing they can do right now because everything is knocked out. They have again, no radar, no anti-aircraft. They have nothing.”

“And it was a decision I made. We discussed it… The only thing we didn’t take down was their oil because if we knock out—I call them the pipes, very complex—but if you do that, it’ll take them forever to rebuild,” he continued. “We’re going to try to get people that are going to run it well, and it’s going to be a prosperous, wonderful place. It used to be. The people are great. The people are smart and energetic.”

“It used to be very successful,” the President emphasized. “Now it’s a country run by Führers. It’s a country where they tell protestors, ‘Don’t go outside because if you do, we’re going to kill you.’”

Now it is desperation time for Iran’s regime. That is why they’re trying to shut down the Strait of Hormuz. They think that if they drive up oil and gas prices, President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu will back down and end the operation. Yet, once again, the mullahs have overplayed their hand. POTUS and the Prime Minister are intent on finishing the job.

Europe, on the other hand, is a different story.

At the same press briefing, a reporter remarked, “The Irish President has said that your war against Iran is illegal. It’s an attack on international law.”

President Trump responded strongly, “Look, he’s lucky I exist.”

“If you’re going to allow countries that are sick and demented—and they are demented—to have nuclear weapons… everybody in the whole world should be very thankful,” he stressed. “And I’m disappointed in NATO, very disappointed. I’m disappointed in a couple of other countries too, but they should be very thankful.”

“If a country like Iran were allowed to have the power of a nuclear weapon, if we didn’t stop them… I stopped them twice,” President Trump underscored. “I love Europe. I spent a lot of time in Europe. It’s a different place. Bad, bad things have happened to you, very bad things. And you better do something about immigration, and you better do something about energy, or you won’t have a Europe.”

He’s right. It is becoming very obvious, if it wasn’t already before, that Israel is America’s most dependable ally in the world. And with Great Britain in shambles under its current left-wing government, it’s really not even close anymore.

The President and the Prime Minister are putting the conditions in place on the ground for the Iranian people to come out in the streets. We hope it’s soon. My fervent prayer is that this regime is gone for good. It would feel incomplete if this regime were not cast into the ash heap of history.

The world’s fastest-growing church is in Iran, underground largely, but they’re there. The gospel of Jesus is growing by leaps and bounds in Iran. Perhaps a new Iran could be a launching pad for the gospel to spread throughout the Middle East. That’s my prayer. A great revival in Persia, modern-day Iran. Please join me in praying for that.
