Glamour Magazine Hands ‘Women Of The Year’ Award To Nine Men
Each year Glamour UK magazine hands out “Women of the Year” awards to, according to their website, “celebrate the extraordinary women who have defined the last 12 months (and beyond) – the trailblazers, activists, visionaries and status quo-shifters who have made the world a little bit better and brighter for women.” Well, among the winners this year was a group called “The Dolls” . . . all nine of whom are men.
Yes, nine men won “Women of the Year” awards! These men, who work to “Protect the Dolls,” were specifically chosen because “these trailblazers work tirelessly to empower, uplift and celebrate trans voices.”
In other words, these men, who dress like women and call themselves “dolls,” work hard to ensure that women have no private spaces and that men who say they are women are treated just like women—which means there’s really no such thing as a woman at all! That certainly doesn’t sound like they are making the world “a little bit better and brighter for women.”
An accompanying article in the magazine says, “Now, trans people – and especially trans women [men] – are facing a committed attempt from anti-trans pressure groups and right-wing politicians to make exclusionary policy the default across British public life including toilets, changing rooms, leisure facilities, workplaces, hospital wards and crisis support services. The intention is clear: to drive us out of public life to repress, then deny our existence.”
But really, it’s these men who are denying the existence of women! To say that a man can just “be” a woman because he says so erases the uniqueness of what it means to be a woman!
A report on these articles notes how one of the interviewees claims that “trans-identifying people are facing ‘segregation laws’ and ‘an inability to participate in public life.’”
Yes, we have been “segregating” men and women as a society… and that is a good thing because men and women are different! That’s why we have separate private spaces, sports teams, shelters, prisons, and more. It’s to protect women and give everyone privacy and a fair playing field. But when men believe they can just “become” women and enter women’s spaces, women in particular are harmed and their privacy violated.
Our society continues to deny the reality of Genesis 1:27: “Male and female he created them,” which observational science confirms (males have XY and females have XX sex chromosomes).
Our young people, who are growing up in a world where men win women’s awards, desperately need the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
