Earlier this week, severe weather caused deadly tornadoes that left a trail of destruction across several Midwestern states. The tornadoes killed an elderly couple in Lake Village, Indiana, and left others trapped or injured.
The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is sending chaplains to some of the hardest-hit areas in Kankakee County, Illinois, and Newton County, Indiana.
“Storms like these leave more than physical damage—they leave people grieving and searching for hope,” said Josh Holland, vice president of BG-RRT Global. “Even in the midst of life’s storms, we want people to know that God is a refuge and shelter for those who turn to Him, and that they are not facing this difficult time alone.”
Chaplains will arrive Friday afternoon to comfort and pray with those who are hurting and share the peace that is found only in Jesus Christ.
Will you lift up in prayer those who are recovering from injuries and families whose homes have been destroyed or damaged? Please pray also for first responders and our chaplains as they serve these communities.
