The current crisis in Lebanon is the sad result of a failed and frail state being subject to the coercion of an internal force serving the interests of a foreign regime. Only when the Beirut government finds the strength to resist Hezbollah and free itself from the Iranian diktat of the preceding four decades, will it finally be able to have peace, both within its own borders and with Israel, who are seeking security for their Northern frontier and not territorial acquisitions. So with the American-Iranian-Israeli conflict at a critical juncture and the IDF and Hezbollah exchanging blows, what comes next in the Lebanese arena?
